The event will run over two days, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th August 2025. All purchased tickets are valid for one day of the event, so ensure you check which day you are buying for. You will need to buy a separate ticket for each day if you wish to attend both Saturday and Sunday.
The vast majority of our attractions, events and stallholders will be present on both days. However this cannot be guaranteed in all cases and last minute circumstances may mean line-ups change. Please see our 'What's On' page for the most up-to-date information.
The show opens at 10am both days and closes at 5pm.
The car park will be open from 9am.
Where possible, please take cash with you for the market stalls and paid attractions. We will do our best to provide card payment facilities, but cannot guarantee that all stalls will have them, especially due to the nature of the event/WiFi access etc!
There are no cash points available at the show.
There will be plenty of toilets spread throughout the site.
Facilities will include multiple high end trailers, as well as accessible and baby changing facilities.
We are always interested in building partnerships with new businesses and organisations. Please contact sds@the-hometown-group.com if you would like to discuss this further, we would love to hear from you!

We want to keep the South Downs Show accessible to everyone so we offer ticket prices as low as possible, lower than many similar shows. We also offer many free activities and a whole line-up of live music and arena acts for all to enjoy! But to run the fair year after year, there are costs involved. Charging admission for some attractions helps us cover those expenses. These include things like:
Bringing in exciting entertainment: Some of the most exciting parts of the show cost a lot to bring in, but we hope you agree they are worth it!
Ensuring the smooth running of the event: Keeping the South Downs Show safe and enjoyable for all requires consistent investment, for example in parking management, first aid expertise, and site maintenance.
Taking care of the animals: If there's a petting zoo or animal shows, we need to ensure that our traders can cover the costs of feeding and caring for the animals.
By charging for some attractions, we can keep the overall cost of admission low and ensure there's something for everyone to enjoy at the fair!
