The South Downs Show is the perfect country show for the whole family. We've ensured there's plenty to do for children including an impressive helter skelter, circus skills fun and of course, the awesome animal exhibits!
All attractions below will be available throughout the weekend.
UK FIELD GUN ACADEMY
Dedicated to preserving and reviving the challenging military tradition of field gun sports. Based locally they train men and women (16+) in strength, discipline, and agility through weekly physical development sessions and competitive national displays and we are delighted to have them putting on displays throughout the weekend.

Professor Foss- Cecil and the Jurassic Safari team have made a miraculous discovery whilst on one of their adventures…
The team is very excited to meet you and share their findings. They’ve got fossils, finds and something all together more lively. This is one adventure you won’t want to miss!
MINIATURE STEAM ENGINE RIDES
A Timeless Country Fair Delight!
Families young and old delight in a leisurely ride behind one of our beautifully presented miniature steam locomotives — a scene reminiscent of the golden days of the traditional country fair.
A track will be set up from one end of the site to the other for an awesome ride.
PETERSFIELD DISTRICT ANGLING CLUB
This will feature a live casting experience, along with a set up to catch imitation fish (foamex cut-outs) with a seat box, demonstrations about tackle, fish handling and fishing rod with nets to win free coaching lessons.
OLD FASHIONED RIDES
Travel back in time and enjoy some old fashioned rides! Try out the vintage ferris wheel and see the site from above or the vintage Chair-o-planes to see the site spinning round and round!
Lots of fun for all the family.
PUNCH AND JUDY
Old fashioned Punch & Judy and close up magic shows will be taking place throughout each day.
Get yourself an ice cream, grab a seat (hay bale) and get ready to be transported back to days gone by.
AXE THROWING
Come and try your hand at axe throwing with Planet Axe. Take aim to get the best score of the day and possible prizes to be won.

Jake’s Circus Skills
Jake's Circus skills will be bringing along their huge variety of Circus equipment for everyone to have a go at including Spinning Plates, Diabolo, Fun pedals, Mini bikes, Stilts, Tight wire, Unicycles and lots more…
Juggling Jake and Chris the Juggler will be on hand to assist and demonstrate and may even put on a couple of Shows... Find them under their red and yellow Star Tent.
